About flavia
Caritas Films is a London-based production company founded by filmmaker Flavia Casà, to produce various film, video and theatre content. Caritas Films produced 2 major works that Flavia directed: an award-winning coming-of-age feature film drama,  "Beautiful in the Morning",  and a comedy play "Shirley; or the Inexplicable Question of God's Actions", performed at the Edinburgh Fringe. Caritas Films also produces branded and short films. 
Born in Paris and raised in NYC, Flavia discovered filmmaking through photography and directing shcool plays. After graduating from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Flavia directed award-winning short films that screened internationally, and was mentored by Academy Award-winning cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki. Flavia works as a director & producer in London, and uses storytelling to connect more deeply with the world. She is passionate about empowering young people, and enjoys doing improv, cycling and listening to a good podcast.
